Job Advert Summary WHO YOU ARE

As an Inventory Administrator, you will perform various clerical and administrative duties to support inventory management. You are responsible for maintaining inventory records and preparing balance and shortages reports.

Ultimately, you will be responsible for the inventory of all supplies that come in or leave the warehouse.


Ideal candidates are physically fit and have warehouse experience, working knowledge of word processing, database and spreadsheet software, and a valid driver’s license.

Minimum Requirements

SKILL REQUIREMENTS/PERSONAL COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent Math and analytical skills
  • Excellent MS Excel proficiency
  • Demonstrates strong organizational skills
  • Pays close attention to detail
  • Possesses physical strength necessary to lift boxes and other heavy items on a regular basis
  • Can use computer inventory software
  • Exhibits ability to read and interpret inventory reports, sales reports, and packing slips
  • Demonstrates strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Works well with a team
  • Manages time efficiently
  • Microsoft Software; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Database related programs

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Matric
  • A Logistics/Supply Chain Tertiary Qualification (advantageous)
  • Minimum of 2 years of inventory control experience
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing inventory
  • Perform regular audits/Stock counts to ensure the accuracy of inventory levels
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as necessary to maintain optimal levels
  • Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of inventory
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
  • Prepare reports on inventory levels, trends, and needs
  • Train new employees on inventory procedures
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce inventory costs
  • Evaluate and recommend improvements to existing inventory procedures
  • Liaise with the team
